Financial Accountant

Global Water Solutions has a vacancy for an Accountant to join our committed workforce in Italy. We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical person with a solid background in finance/accounting and a pre-disposition for problem solving and keen interest in financial software.

The Accountant will report directly to the Director of Finance based in North America and will collaborate with an international team. The position is based in our GWS Italy office, Rubiera, Modena.

Your Responsibilities:
The role and responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:

- Responsible for the daily operations and entries of the accounting department including month and end-year closing process, preparation of journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, landed cost/ import input, bank reconciliation, cash receipts (RIBA), general ledger, payroll, utilities and expense reports.
- Preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements, account analysis and cash flow statements, working with local fiscal agent for tax reports, required filings and annual statutory legal audit.
- Establish and maintain physical files and records to document transactions;
- Exchange rate and multi-currency transaction reconciliation;
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Your Attributes:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Additional education or experience may be preferred.
- More than 3 years of industry experience in accounting/finance
- Must have ability to read and write fluently in Italian and English
- Must be skilful in the use of computer and financial software and Excel, Oracle is a plus.
- Communication skills both oral and written
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be very accurate and work precisely
- Ability to multi-task, organize and think proactively
- Comfortable to work independently on tasks and projects
- Must be hands-on, flexible, and willing to learn new things and take on additional tasks
- High sense of responsibility.
- Import and export work experience is preferred

**Salary**: €40,000.00 - €43,000.00 per year
