I wonder Franke has ambitious plans in the FIP region and def ined its internal vision around creating “Joyf ul Moments at Home & Franke”, which also means creating joyful moments for our customers. We have the ambition to become the preferred brand in the home in terms of customer & consumer satisfaction. This translates also into the requirements we have for a demand planner.
Overall, it is of utmost importance that we serve our customers in the best way we can and in this aspect here in regard to delivery performance (e.g. OTIF). One factor to positively inf luence this is our demand planning capabilities so that our supply chain & operations team can in turn deliver on the required volumes and dates. The demand planner has thereby to have a strong market and business model understanding in order transfer that knowledge into the ef fective demand plans to serve our customers (e.g. general delivery expectations of our sales channels, product p hase-in & -outs, etc.).
As we are aiming for a cluster organization where benef icial and recommendable, the person has to operationally manage the demand plans for all of the FIP markets (Domestic, 3rd Export) and thereby establish one common operational demand planning process for the cluster in alignment with the central supply chain organization.
**Your tasks**:
**1. Producing Demand Plans**:
- Collaborate with local sales & market stakeholders to identify local specif icities that statistical modeling can’t identif y (peaks up/down, new customer introduction or exclusion, product portfolio adjustments, business trends.).
- Collaborate with Global Demand Planner, sharing market’s specif icities to be considered by statistical modeling (outliers, peaks analysis, specific trends etc.).
- Ensure new products & phased in - phased out timings are properly ref lected in the Demand Plan.
- Make sure that Demand Plan plugged in the system ref lects the most realistic projection of unconstrained demand.
- Ensure that Demand Planned is built & reviewed on whole planning horizon.
- Enrich Demand Plan based on statistical model with adjustments ref lecting market’s specif ics or trends identif ied.
- Monitor, formalize & report important changes in sales forecasts as well as variation versus previous year and varying trends YTD vs YTG.
- Coordinate & formalize identif ication of risks & opportunities.
**2. Ensuring execution of demand steps of Global S&OP**:
- Improve domestic and export demand planning process.
- Facilitate the local cross-functional (sales & marketing) Demand Review as f irst step of Global S&OP.
- Facilitate the Demand Plan Sign-Of f with local Leadership team & Global SC prior to submission.
- Ensure that unconstrained Demand Plan is available on time & in quality f or S&OP’s Supply Review.
- Ensure that risks & opportunities are identif ied & shared with S&OP’s Supply Review.
- Document key assumptions / changes of new Demand Plan to be advised to S&OP’s Supply Review.
**3. Inventory**
- Keep track of inventory.
- Facilitate the OSMI meetings and ensure that the actions are def ined and aligned with the OSMI target value.
- Monitor, formalize & report important changes in OSMI forecasts as well as variation versus previous year and varying trends YTD vs YTG.
- Collect and share information f rom internal/external planners/suppliers in terms of products availability plan, market needs and demand change. Anticipate demand and inventory needs.
- Suggest purchases and local productions according to demand forecast and inventory targets.
- Harmonize PI/PO process, making sure that the new products become available according to sales plans while OSMI risk is minimized.
**Demand Planning Continuous Improvements**:
- Propose & implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Ensure Demand Planning processes & systems are aligned to the corporate global guidelines.
