Junior Buyer

Due to the implementation of a new management system and to support colleagues in their daily activities, Valmet Paper business line is looking for a dynamic and proactive **Buyer** to join our Tissue Business Unit.

- **Contract**: 1-year temporary contract within Valmet SPA

**Responsibilities**:
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in purchasing goods and services for customer projects, ensuring quality, adherence to technical specifications, favorable economic terms, and on-time delivery. Key responsibilities include:

- Maintain and follow up on assigned KPIs for procurement targets.
- Comply with Valmet procurement strategy, ensuring quality, price, and availability while contributing to the development of procurement processes.
- Manage operative purchases of sub-contracted parts, components, and services.
- Cooperate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure a competitive position in the market in terms & conditions.
- Support the implementation of the new global ERP system.
- Archive orders acknowledgements, drawings, and other documents.
- Support Engineering with archive searches for drawings, BOM, etc.

**Requirements**:
To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Preferably 2 years of working experience in an Industrial Procurement role, with experience in a multinational company.
- Proficiency in both Italian and English.
- Preferably, a technical high school diploma.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Quick decision-making ability.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Enthusiasm to resolve problems, using initiative when necessary.
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools, particularly Excel / Outlook / Teams.
- Experience with ERP such as SAP is valued.
- Availability to travel up to 10%.
