Act as an integral part of the regional cost accounting team and provide cost accounting expertise and support to finance partners and leadership across multiple sites (locations) and platforms (divisions), providing information, advice and governance on the accounting model of costs.

Scope of Responsibilities: Multi-site responsibilities and multi-platform support, acting as an integral part of the Revenue, Inventory and Cost Accounting Regional Team.

**Responsibilities**:
Focus on improving processes and efficiency, identifying and escalating issues

Support the cost accounting supervisor and financial business partners in analyzing the impact of hourly rates and/or cost standards on product cost

Inventory accounting (Physical cycle counts variance verifications, identifications and registration, ensures correct classification of inventory and materials, and verification and calculation of purchase rates)

Researching, troubleshooting and answering basic questions and advising the Finance Business Partner on cost model issues (including analyzing input and output margins, participating in and supporting project reviews, supporting costing projects specials for productivity, efficiency and utilization analyses, etc.)

Identify costs incurred and participate in project status reviews to obtain information for use on revenue accounting records and calculations for both Percentage of Completion and punctual projects

Examine low cost margin on products and projects, review excess and obsolete reserve, analyze and comply with warranty policies and capitalize production variations and related accruals

Provide analysis of departmental expenses

Preferred experience/skills

**Requirements**:
Three years of experience in analytical accounting in industrial manufacturing companies

Percentage of Completion method (POC) accounting experience preferred.

Experience in project organization Degree in Accounting

Knowledge of USGAAP is a plus (especially ASC606)

Extensive knowledge of Excel including advanced features with Excel required

Proactive attitude

Ability to evaluate and recommend solutions for assigned projects

Ability to prioritize, plan, carry out and communicate tasks in both written and verbal form

Good knowledge of the English language in written and oral form

Knowledge of SAP, Oracle and/or BPC is an asset

Ability to work in a decentralized matrix organization
