Mission of the Role
We are looking for an energetic
**Engineering Director **who will join our Digital Area in Cesena (Italy) and drive the evolution of the cloud services for third parties. The professional will work close to the Digital organization's leaders and will be in charge of the reliability, scalability and technological evolution of our offer on the market.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Owns and guides the evolution of cloud services for third parties with focus on the reliability, scalability and technological evolution and the consequent technical competitiveness of Technogym’s offer on the market
- Chooses the technical and architectural set up and defines its evolution for the public APIs and the implementation of internal company services.
- Creates and implements the development best practices within the team and influences their adoption across the entire software development’s organization
- Responsible for the cost objectives of the services, their optimization and evolution
- Contributes to the definition of product development’s strategies and objectives and guides their technological development
- Plans and controls the collaborators’ tasks to facilitate their professional development on both technical and transversal/managerial skills.
- Manages the hiring, mentoring and coaching of the team resources
- Manages the outsourcing of activities, when necessary, through external suppliers, keeping control of product development
- Enhance and facilitates the integration between the software development area and the areas focused on the product development and business.
- Operates with a customer-centric approach and is guided by the customer experience’s perspective when making choices
Requirements
- MSc or Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
- 10+ years of experience working in a Tech company or on a specific Tech product
- Solid knowledge on how to integrate a Cloud infrastructures with third parties.
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Previous experiences in a Cloud based organization with an international presence
