**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- The International School of Bergamo is a friendly and expanding school opened in 2011.**In just 10 years, we are proud to have become an IB Continuum World School offering the Primary, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.**
- Our mission is based on the values of the learner profile, and we aim to offer a challenging and stimulating curriculum based on high achievement and inquiry based learning and designed to generate an enthusiasm for learning and value it as a life-long process.- We are seeking **a Science Technician** who will be responsible for the two Science Labs. The Science Technician will collaborate with the MYP & DP Science Teachers, coordinating the use of resources and practical facilities, providing assistance and advice on the teaching needs of the Department.-
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide assistance and advice on the teaching needs of the Science Department.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Prepare and set up experiments and demonstrations for classes.
- Assist students and teachers during laboratory sessions.
- Manage and organize laboratory supplies and inventory.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe laboratory environment.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory equipment.
- Stay updated on safety regulations and best practices in laboratory procedures.
- Contribute to the development of laboratory manuals and instructional materials.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- To be an EU passport holder or already be in possession of a valid visa that enables to work in Italy
- Bachelor degree or above in the relevant field
- Good understanding of science teaching hazards and risk assessment.
- Good level of English.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and approach to change and development.
- A vision for what outstanding teaching and learning looks like.
- A positive attitude, proactive approach to change and development.
- Able to prioritise workload and use initiative.
- Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare.
