To support our new client in the cybersecurity activities of this brand-new satellite mission, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Expert with proven knowledge in a space mission. The position can be based in Turin or Frascati, Italy, and allows hybrid/partially remote work (travels on client’s premises) for the delivery of the service.
As a Security Manager you’ll be responsible for undertaking the various analyses required to understand the security risks to the system designs and to define and design the security measures needed to provide the justified levels of security.
**About the location**:

**Tasks and Activities**:
The scope of work will include:
- Performing security risk analyses during the system design, implementation phase and the overall life cycle of the Project.
- Working with the system design teams to ensure a resilient system.
- Defining technical and organizational security measures.
- Supporting the security accreditation process.
- Working with the system team to build and validate the security measures.
- Monitoring the correct implementation of all security measures.
- Keep the security documentation updated and perform audit once required.
**Skills and Experience**:
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- University degree with a focus on Information Technology/Communications, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience with security architectures for complex systems.
- At least five years of experience as a (cyber)security engineer.
- Experience with space projects.
- Experience with security evaluation and accreditation.
- Experience in audit process and risk management.
- Security certifications (CSSLP, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead auditor, etc.).
- Proven good written and verbal communication skills while working in a team.
- Willing to travel to client sites and other offices around Europe.
- An affinity with complex systems and can define the security requirements and design for space systems.
- English, both written and spoken, at a fluent level. Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Security Accreditation in European organization and/or Industries
- Risk assessment methodology (EBIOS, HLRA, etc.)
- ESA Security Directives and EU security regulations for classified information
- ISO 27001, ISO27002, ISO 27005, ISO 22301, ISO 31000,
- CCSDS 355.0-B-1 - Space Data Link Security (SDLS) Protocol and CCSDS 355.1-R-1 - Space Data Link Security (SDLS) - Extended Procedures (EP)
