Position Summary:
Based globally, and reporting to the Associate General Counsel - Regulatory & Government Affairs, the Global Recycling Program Analyst is a support role in the Regulatory & Government Affairs organization. Responsibilities include support of Energizer’s participation in battery and packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (“EPR”) programs outside of North America and a focus on continuous improvement and maturing of Energizer’s recycling relationships. The Global Recycling Program Analyst supports compliance and savings through management of EPR relationships, engaging with policymakers at the drafting stage, and partnering with functional leaders and teams across the company to ensure our recycling programs suit Energizer’s structure and needs.
**Responsibilities**:
**Universal Accountabilities**
- Support recycling activities, ensure administrative requirements and data are shared across the organization.
- Communicate with internal stakeholder’s relevant recycling requirements critical for the successful and efficient execution of their business.
- Support Energizer’s compliance with recycling program requirements.
- Support organization in the implementation of reporting processes, procedures, and tools by embedding trade compliance requirements, as necessary.
- Support engagement with policymakers to advocate for equitable EPR regulations.
**Specific Accountabilities**
- Ensure compliance with EPR regulations globally (except North America and Brazil).
- Monitor performance of third-party providers (i.e., Producer Responsibility Organizations) by capturing key performance indicators.
- Share knowledge and suggestions to continuously improve Energizer’s Recycling Program.
- Report to management and team recycling, as necessary.
- Obtain and maintain proper records as required by domestic and international regulations.
- Provide recycling analysis and interpretation related to matters with recycling oversight.
- Perform administrative recycling requirements for the organization and report any significant issues to management.
- Support the creation and enhancement of recycling processes, procedures, and tools.
- Support Government Affairs in efforts to ensure recycling programs legislation and regulations are equitable.
What we are looking for:
Required Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree and 1 year or bachelor’s degree and 3+ years recycling or related experience
- Proficient in business English. Other languages beneficial.
- Results driven mindset
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Familiarity with EPR systems preferred
- Collaborative skills and ability to build trust with peers, leaders, and functional partners
- Regional travel of up to 10-20% required
Work Environment
- Position will be remote, with employee based in either Italy, Poland, Belgium, France, Germany, or other EU nation
- Occasional regional travel of up to 10-20% required
- Will need to manage flexible hours given international support
- Ability to support cross culturally
