The position operates inside Technical Support Department in Ferrara Manufacturing for catalyst Quality Control.

Plans, organizes and manages the products Quality Control and Continuous Improvement activities for Catalyst Manufacturing Site, including and cooperation with Catalyst Business, Catalyst Manufacturing and R&D Catalyst as well as direct interface with Quality Control Laboratories. Direct impact upon the achievement of Catalyst Manuf Quality Objectives by assuring products in compliance with specification, ISO 9001 standards and continuous improvement principles.
Emphasis on a proactive and innovative approach that creates robust improvements in assuring quality control for Catalyst Manufacturing production. To drive Continuous Improvement culture in all areas through LEAN concept and Statistical Process Control toward Best In Class Manufacturing organization.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Provides the necessary technical support to monitor quality, collects quality data required for the batches classification, critically evaluates the analytical results and verifies compliance with the specifications for Catalyst Manufacturing Plants.
- Performs statistical quality control of the Ferrara catalyst plants productions promptly reporting any deviations
- Cooperates with Process Engineers, Plants Supervisors and R&D experts to trouble shooting any quality issue emerged during catalyst production and quality control through root cause analysis
- Utilizes lean enterprise techniques, Six Sigma and statistical tools to improve activities and to contribute in plants daily troubleshooting.
- Focal point for claims technical investigation management, including root cause analysis and actions follow up
- Address customer concerns and driving down product defects and cost of poor quality
- Manages risk assessments for trials proposals and execution, including quality data collection of the production under modified conditions for final evaluation
- Supports to product quality issues including grade development and introduction of new products in the commercial plants in order to guarantee a continuous innovation of the products portfolio, in collaboration with R&D, Technical Support, Production, Quality Control Laboratory.
- Agrees with Planning department and Business the actions related to adequate stock management, ensuring both final quality along the production chain and proper operations execution are preserved
- Update of reports and quality KPIs and performs capability analysis of the Ferrara catalyst plants productions
- Manages catalyst product specifications approval, review and distribution processes, as well as the analytical control plan
- Ensures that LyondellBasell know-how on quality management including control charts is fully documented, continuously improved and up-dated, and assure its availability.
- Provides qualified support for regulatory requirements, if required.

**Min. Qualifications**:
**Education**:
University Master Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Statistics
5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing / automotive / pharma industries at manager level in Quality, Process & Continuous Improvement field

**Licenses & Certifications**:
Full knowledge in ISO (9001 & 14001) standards.

**Languages**:
Good English knowledge, both verbal and written.
