**Position Summary**

Responsible for championing and deploying Lean initiatives at the BU level in compliance with PLS and ensuring accordance with company's strategy deployment.
Facilitates value stream mapping and continuous improvement standards implementation to eliminate waste both in manufacturing and offices.
Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using standard metrics (Corporate Kaizen Event Summary Sheet).

**Responsibilities**

Leads and guides all Lean initiatives within the BU, making implementation and results a top priority.

Lean Principles:

- Ensures the BU is implementing the company's Lean System, the principles, techniques and methodologies.
- Maintains and develops the BU Site Level Plan coordinating with all involved personnel.
- Helps develop Lean Champions within the BU with an emphasis on achieving the Division’s goals, ensuring connections with location HPTs.
- Responsible for auditing the lean journey across the BU.

Lean Training:

- Programs, coordinates and manages Lean Kaizens, Boot Camp Training, and other Lean Training events.
- Provides training for staff at all levels on running Lean events and their associated tools and techniques.
- Ensues on-going education of all employees at the BU in Lean.
- Promotes a continuous learning environment.

Lean & Business:

- Provides high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting material control, product quality and customer service goals.

Lean Expert:

- Represents the BU at external meetings and seminars.
- Presents progress to both internal and external audiences.
- Shares “best practice” methods and ideas with other Lean Managers across the company.

Other accountabilities:

- Responsible for implementation of strategy that has been created at higher organizational levels.
- Assists in the development of local level Lean Strategy that aligns with higher organizational levels.
- Responsible for implementation of Parker Lean System, the principles, techniques, and methodologies.
- Ensures steering committees and teams are established at a local level.
- Provides ongoing education of all employees at location.
- Promotes a continuous learning environment.
- Responsible for open communication on status of Lean efforts.
- Responsible for ensuring Lean tracking and reporting is in place.

**Qualifications**
- Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper opportunities.
- Functional understanding of cost accounting.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous work experience ideally includes experience in Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, TPM, Flow, Pull systems and Communication Tools.
