Material Planner

Our client is one of the most important multinational Companies in the beverage industry**Responsibilities**:

The mission of MRP Scheduler is to ensure material availability at the Plant, analyzing MRP messages on a daily basis, creating purchase requests and liasing with Suppliers to manage any advanced/postponed delivery.

**Key Responsibilities and Activities**

**On a daily basis**:

- Analyze MRP warnings and identify potential availability issues within frozen period, defining potential solutions, in collaboration with Plant Production Scheduler if necessary
- Check production plan progress together with Plant Production Scheduler and manage any advanced or postponed delivery required
- Monitor Suppliers’ deliveries, re-scheduling any missed delivery and updating data in the system to ensure MRP data consistency
- When required, escalate Supplier’s issues to Regional Material Planner and Procurement

**On a weekly basis**:

- Analyze the MRP requirements for all Material Groups on a 4 weeks horizon and create Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders accordingly, in line with indications provided by Regional Material Planner in case of multi source
- Define quanties to be transferred from or to overflow warehouse, creating transfer orders in SAP
- Create Purchase Requests for pallet, based on Procurement or Dry Goods Warehouse request
- Manage Phase-in and Phase-out process: update masterdata parameters in the system based on information received by Innovation and Packaging Teams (e.g. material status, substitution date) and perform related movements (e.g. movement on 6001 in case of scraps, stock adjustments based on stock counting provided by Dry Goods Warehouse); monitor phase-out items requirement and provide input to Production Scheduler for BoM request change

**On a monthly basis**:

- Collect and aggregate labels requirements through Converter Tool and create contract and manage label stock at supplier site (if any)
- Analyze materials KPIs (e.g. days of coverage) together with Regional Material Planner, and identify actions to ensure stock optimization
- Perform masterdata sanity check with Regional Material Planner support, highlighting any missing information to Procurement or GBS

**On a quarterly basis or on request**:

- Check material requirements for re-working activities (e.g. Fraangelico’s lanyards) and create Purchase Requests
- Create Purchase Requisition for production consumables (e.g. glues), based on production team request
- Organize returns to Suppliers in case of non conformities
- Organize pallet and interlayers returns to suppliers in collaboration with Inbound Warehouse Coordinator
- Review Safety Stocks, Maximum Lot Size, GR Lead Time and other material planning relevant parameters together with Regional Material Planner and Dry Goods Warehouse Coordinator
- Perform analysis on packaging material with no requirements and define corrective actions together with Regional Material Planner

**Requirements**:

- Master Degree in Scientific area (e.g. Engineering, Economics, Business Administration)
- At least 2 years of experience in planning area (Material Planning, Production Planning etc.)
- Good knowledge of Excel, SAP is considered a plus
- Ability to plan autonomously according to priorities and urgencies
- Excellent Communication skills
- Fluent in English
