Financial Controller

The Financial controller will be accountable for the production of monthly financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with US accounting principles and group policies.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare the monthly US GAAP reporting package, including tax reporting
- Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period
- Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Reports and manage the internal and external review for these documents
- Support preparation of quarterly earnings release
- Create and maintain accounting calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the following processes: financial close, Group BOD package, press release and SEC miscellaneous filings
- Create, implement and maintain accounting policy documents to improve clarity and consistency
- Monitor, maintain and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, US GAAP interpretation and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner
- Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the Finance Director
- Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors
- Supervise international accounting and issue identification and resolution
- Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
- Support FP&A team in monthly analysis with variances analysis, forecasting and budgeting process

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of Big 4 Audit/Consulting experience in US public companies
- Fluent in Italian and English
- A good knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations is required combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues
- International accounting and issue recognition experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; HFM skills is a plus
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Strong interpersonal skills, great team player.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Italian and English written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to resolve problems
- Ability to work independently under general supervision
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, be effective and decisive under pressure.
