**Job Description**:
**Main tasks and responsibilities**:

- The Head of the Prevention and Protection Service is appointed by the Managing Director as pursuant to the Consolidated Safety Act and takes care of fulfilling the tasks set out in art.33 of Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
- Management of the renewal and schedule of all EHS permit authorizations (Integrated environmental authorization, Environmental impact assessment pursuant to Legislative Decree 152/2006 and subsequent amendments, Safety Report, Non-aggravation of risk pursuant to Legislative Decree 105/2015, S,C.I.A., feasibility clearance and project evaluation pursuant to Presidential Decree 151/2011, etc.) in compliance with legislative requirements and interfacing with the authorities in obtaining them.
- Management of inspections and relations with EHS control bodies (ARPA, CTR, ASL, VVFF, NOE, Industrial Consortium, etc.).
- Accountability for updating the organizational model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001 and plays a coordinating and interface role with the Supervisory Body for the verification of documentation and periodic inspections.
- Collaboration with the Employer (Managing Director) in the development of the job risk assessment document pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 81/2008 and identifies the safety and health workplace measures.
- Collaboration with the Employer in drafting the document assessing the contractor's interference risks (DUVRI) when operating in the plant pursuant to art.26 of Legislative Decree no.81/2008 and changes and additions.
- Collaboration with the plant doctor in elaborating the health surveillance protocol, verifying that it is put in place and that the industrial hygiene measurements are carried out.
- Coordination of the activities as per law requirements or by existing permits in managing environmental aspects (emissions sampling, waste, reports to the authorities).
- Interface role with the Union safety representatives.
- Coordination of the EHS committee meetings and risk prevention and protection meeting held every six months pursuant to art. 35 Law Decree 81/2008.
- Update EHS procedures and approves all the plant procedures.
- In charge of employee's education on how to prevent health problems through the delivery of safety training programs, emergency procedures update, development of effective safety culture to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, offers and delivers EHS training programs to all employees; contributes to the definition of the training needs of staff in relation to the legislation in force.
- Identification and proposal of solutions to improve safety, environmental and accident prevention systems in order to minimize the risk of work-place, accidents and environmental incidents.
- Development and practice in the field the emergency plans together with the emergency team in the field as per plant procedures and collaborates with the Production manager in managing emergency situations. Ensures proper management of fire and emergency equipment.
- Provision of specialistic consultancy in the design and construction of plants so that innovative and operational solutions are adopted that ensure their safety and compliance with environmental protection standards.
- In synergy with the Process Manager, the Production Manager and the Blending/Distribution Manager, verifies that the plant or process changes to be carried out in the site do not entail additional risks to safety, comply with current regulations and do not change environmental aspects (emissions, waste); ensuring the participation of a member of the EHS department in the safety reviews required by the Management of Change procedure (DSR and PSSR).
- Participation in hazop periodic reviews and new project process hazard analysis.
- Facilitatation or take active part in incident investigations.
- Leadership of internal and external audit programs in order to maintain environmental and safety certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EMAS);
- Coordination of the EHS department in the management of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EMAS external audits to external service providers.
- Coordination of the EHS department in the management of PSM and EHS Corporate Audits, Insurance Audits, Periodic Inspections of the 231 Supervisory Body or other external audits.
- Interface with the Corporate Product Steward function
