The QMT Department within Technical & Performance Department is looking for Product Assurance Systems & Tool Italy:
This role will appeal to proven quality professionals who wish to accept the challenge of driving step changes and improvements within product assurance process and methodologies in an international, high technology environment. You will be excited by the opportunity to change and enhance all aspects of this fundamental product assurance activity from definition and implementation of tool innovations, to proactive engagement with engineering, manufacturing and quality management colleagues to support product quality improvements. Experience of working in a multinational engineering business is essential to this role. This is a senior position and effective leadership skills are vital to success. The role requires travel and stay within Europe.

Purpose:
To continually and effectively lead the development, deployment and sustainment of the product assurance processes, methods and tools. To lead and support these activities such that they are to a standard that are recognised (valued) and considered as best practice within the business, and support the delivery of products satisfying our customers’ expectations.

Role Responsibilities:

- Manage the implementation of new and innovative product assurance systems & tools (PAS&T)
- Define, develop and deliver harmonised operating processes and tools based on the agreed PAS&T strategy. This includes definition and delivery of best practice throughout the entire product lifecycle to continually improve product quality.
- Ensure that PAS&T deliverables are suitably aligned with requirements defined by internal stakeholders and government quality authorities.
- Define and deploy the training and communication strategy for the delivered artefacts and ensure awareness of quality performance and improvements across the business.
- Contribute to the PAS&T strategy definition and deployment.
- Support to the business as the PAS&T Authority in MBDA Italy.

What we’re looking for from you:

- Extensive operational experience in product quality management at an international level.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, and in particular SAP QM / SAP HANA, together with SAP project and change management experience - beneficial, but not essential.
- Experience of defining and delivering product assurance systems strategy within an engineering business - preferably defence, aerospace or automotive.
- Experience of delivering and evidencing quality assurance improvements to product delivery.
- Strong communications skills to influence at all levels of the business.
- Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks.
- Some travel across Europe required.
