**Job Description**:
**About the role**:
As our new Project Manager you will manage major capital projects related to major furnace repairs, strategic expansions of our manufacturing plants, furnace footprint optimization, conversion of current furnaces to MAGMA or oxy-fuel technologies.

You will manage projects across all 4 process areas for the initiation, scope, cost estimating, forecasting, engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and close out of our major capital projects. You will also:

- drive a construction safety culture on site during project execution and implementing the construction safety fundamentals
- work along with planning department, engineering and operations discipline leaders to allocate and manage internal and external resources in order to execute the projects
- report regularly project status and cost to the leaders of the Country Groups involved in the project and to Corporate
- prepare monthly forecast
- ensure project management fundamental methodologies, practices, and tools are being utilized
- assure all project activities are aligned to customer/business requirements

**Travel requirements**:

- 30% to 50% of travel is required

**Qualifications**:
**About You**:
In order to be successful in O-I you should love glass, care about sustainability and the planet For this role we’re looking for:

- an Engineering graduate with +8 years of experience in manufacturing industries
- a background leading constructions, greenfield and brownfield projects
- an experience in managing CAPEX projects
- excellent English communication skills
- familiarity with SAP
- a good communicator with strong ability to be proactive and show initiative

PMP certification is considered a plus.
