**Job Description Summary**: At AvioAero, a GE Aviation Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As Manufacturing Engineering Leader you will plan, direct, and coordinate the Plant roadmap of process improvement, manage manufacturing specialists' activities, define a roadmap to improve critical to quality and delivery KPI’s.

This role plays a critical contribution to the Plant team goals, widening from total productive maintenance to focused improvement projects.

You will be the focal point for the Plant team to envision necessary upgrades of current operations to keep up with an increasingly customer driven mindset.

By coaching employees and listening to operators’ voices, you will be the main driver of a lean cultural transformation.

**Essential responsibilities***
- Collaborate with the other plant staff managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
- Work as a partner with the NPI team to support the assessment of cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; make and implement recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Supervise tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards, defining priority with Plant leader and Production Manager.
- Work closely with the Plant manager and Finance manager to materialize the lean roadmap of the site throughout impactful projects.
- Provide guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions, and where needed, coordinate outside contractors and vendors.
- Work in conjunction with Maintenance Supervisor and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of the maintenance department.
- Define, supporting the Plant leader, the multi-year strategic development of the Site in conjunction with NPI and other functions to guarantee a strong roadmap toward excellence.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.

**Qualification/Requirements***
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or similar.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering position.
- Significant experience in leadership roles.
- Ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead programs / projects (documentation, planning, execution).
- Deep knowledge of quality system mindset and rules.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required.

- Experience in wide range of businesses (new make and services).
- Production supervisor experience.
- Knowledge of aerospace processes and products.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
