We are currently looking for a Buyer.
The position will be based in Porto Mantovano.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decide and maintain purchasing planning parameters at item level in order to achieve high service level for production and customer requirements at minimum cost, to ensure short lead-times and high delivery accuracy for customer orders.
- Manages inventory through conducting checks to determine the status of inventory and placing orders based on the MRP system, production forecast and approved suppliers / conditions / contracts.
- Reviews the MRP report daily and visually inspects inventory for requirements. Places order and expedites when necessary.
- Provides for the qualification of new suppliers through the dedicated portal by sending them the necessary documents as required by Donaldson's internal procedures
- Process order confirmations, track and urge delivery dates.
- Clarify invoice deviations in coordination with Strategic Purchasing as per policy limits in order to assure quick clarification, gain of cash discounts and prevent incorrect invoices.
- Process quality complaints at suppliers in order to accomplish Donaldson’s claims and prevent non-quality cost.
- Manage plant purchasing reporting (PPV, cost saving, supplier OTD) and take appropriate corrective actions when needed
- Ask suppliers for HS code and country of origin of items purchased and LTS declarations
Education Qualification:
- Technical Diploma or Technical Degree
Technical Competence & Skills:
- 3 years in Industrial purchasing experience. Knowledge and understanding of technical drawing
- Italian and English language written and spoken. Administration, organizational, commercial, PC skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle
