**Duties**:

- Implements the goals for the USNH-Naples Domain wide security program to fulfill its objectives as assigned by the Information Assurance Manager (IAM).
- Responsible for assisting the IAM with the testing of systems software, tools, support services for the assignment, management of passwords, user ID's and other software security mechanisms.
- Enforces current security measures through the use of both hardware and software to safeguard data, software, and hardware from malicious or inadvertent damage.
- Install, configures, and maintains all elements of network hardware and software.
- Oversees the planning, direction, execution, of installations, and repair/troubleshooting of computers and peripheral hardware and software.
- As a Microsoft network administrator, provide installations of security patches and all security related fixes to all the servers and clients.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Incumbents of these positions are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirement of SECNAV M-5239.2, which includes:

- Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) within 6 months of employment.
- Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous
- learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- This position may require you to be on-call on a rotational basis, responding to emergency calls at times beyond the normal duty day.
- This position may require you to work planned and/or unscheduled overtime to meet work requirements.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 5% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 30 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

**Specialized Experience**:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) assist the Information Assurance Manager (IAM), in carrying out and maintaining the Information Assurance (IA) daily mission plan, 2) execution of an organization's Security Program; and 3) administration of computer systems through the proper planning and coordination, installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of legacy and new software and hardware.- OR**Education**:

**Additional information**:

- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
