**YOUR TEAM**

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where computational scientists (Machine Learning, Computer Vision, image processing, big data and high-performance computing), material engineers, chemists, physicists, digital humanists and archaeologists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.

The Centre for Cultural Heritage Technology (CCHT) in Venice is coordinated by Dr Arianna Traviglia, who has extensive experience in mediating the inclusion of technology within the study and protection of Cultural Heritage. Research at CCHT focuses on promoting cutting-edge technologies and approaches for the analysis and preservation of Cultural Heritage. This includes ML/CV-based approaches to discover and monitor archaeological sites, digitize heritage objects using automated approaches and automatically transcribe ancient texts.

As a team member, your main responsibilities will be to support and contribute to the development of the Knowledge Graph deriving from the datasets implemented during the project, develop NLP-based data cleaning approaches, and design and implement Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) or other Machine Learning models for link prediction to reconstruct illicit networks of actors dealing with cultural heritage items.

**WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE**
- PhD in computer science.
- Documented experience working with heterogenous datasets and documented knowledge of technologies for data cleaning (e.g., HuggingFace Stanza);
- Documented experience in Deep Learning algorithms and Pytorch;
- Proficiency with Python.
- Proficiency in English language (written and oral).

**EXTRA AWESOME**
- Experience in grant proposal preparation at the National and/or European level.
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing methods
- PhD in Computer Science applied to Cultural Heritage
- Familiarity in automated extraction of knowledge from written text
