**1. POST CONTEXT**

The Joint Logistics Support Group Headquarters commands and controls assigned logistic, Engineer and medical units for the execution of JTF’s operational level plan.

The Support Branch is responsible for the support of JLSG HQ mission execution.

The Information Management (IM) Section is responsible for IM aspects in support of Joint Logistic policy, plans and operations to support HQ JLSG to achieve versatility and agility called for operational requirements of deployed forces.

The incumbent is responsible for Information Management issues, ranging from internal flow to multinational doctrines (logistics and logistics information systems).

The incumbent reports to OLN SXXX 0010 - Branch Head (Support) OF-5.

**2. DUTIES**

The Section Head's duties are:

- Support the JLSG COS to guarantee a quick and proper availability of information.
- Provide information management advice for the buildup of the JLSG HQ.
- Act as the HQ Information Manager.
- Initiate and contribute to the development of Information Management procedures in the JLSG HQ, coordinating with subordinate units.
- Support the development and maintenance of all information management systems.
- Contribute to the development of C2 systems and procedures in co-ordination with JLSG HQ CIS Section.
- Develop the JLSG HQ Info Management Plan (IM Plan).
- Develop, monitor and update the JLSG HQ NIP.
- Monitor the JLSG HQ Tasks via the Tasker Tracker System or alternative as advised.
- Steers and controls the information flow and the document file system within JLSG HQ.
- Supervise the JLSG HQ Staff message center and JLSG HQ mailbox.
- Provide support in developing IM plans, concepts, procedures and training for JLSG HQ.
- HQ. Control the daily, weekly and monthly JLSG COS calendar and Battle Rhythm in close contact with the Staff Assistant Administration.

The incumbent may be required to perform like duties elsewhere within the organization as directed.

The incumbent is required to undertake operation deployments and/or TDY assignments both within and outside NATO's boundaries.

The work is normally performed in a Normal NATO office working environment / secure office environment with artificial light and air (e.g. Bunker).

Normal Working Conditions apply. The risk of injury is categorized as: No risk / risk might increase when deployed.

**3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

**ESSENTIAL**

University Degree in the area of Management of Information and Digital Content with 6 years of post related experience, or

Higher Secondary education and completed Advanced Vocational Training, or equivalent studies, leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation in the area of Management of Information and Digital Content with 6 years post related experience and 2 years function related experience.

Broad understanding in Information Management planning and execution, relevant to military operations and exercises.

Proven knowledge and experience -supported by completion of courses - in the advanced use of IM tools based on SharePoint.

Experience in providing mentoring and training in IM processes and tools.

Experience in supporting Leadership at working level.

Must have an English Standard Language Proficiency level of “professional” in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing (SLP 3333 based on NATO standards).

**DESIRABLE**

Experience in staff level working in the Management Directorate and experience in the provision, configuration and maintenance of IM tools and services.

Worked previously in a NATO environment.

- Course: JPL-AA-2678 - NATO Information Knowledge Management (IKM) Course.
- Course: ETE-IT-2834 - NATO Staff Officer Orientation Course
- Course: LOG-LG-2700 - NATO Logistics Course
- JLSG Orientation Course - various organizations (MLCC Prague, RRC Lille )

**4. POSITION AND CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Personal attributes**

The incumbent needs to have a clear judgement of the training needs and requirements of the staff employed in the IM branch.

**Managerial Responsabilities**

Commands and controls the Information and Management Section, ensuring provision of Command Group information handling and tasking services. Responsible for adequate training, further development and mentoring of staff. Also responsible for the overall direction and development of wider HQ staff knowledge of staff workflow and information processes. There are first line reporting responsibilities for the following numbers of staff: 2x OR-6.

**Professional contacts**
