About this Role

The Country Management team for BlackRock’s business in Italy is responsible for the management, steering and oversight of the Country which has a broad footprint of sales, investment, technology and solution businesses as well as local representation of critical corporate support functions.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with senior management in a fast paced and collaborative environment.

The Business Management team supports the COO and Country Manager, primarily with country representation and associated management information, oversight of local conduct and governance as well as support of business development.

The Business Manager team plays a key role in bridging the gap across local business functions and with our globally centralised teams, but also by filling gaps to support local requirements as needed.

Job Purpose/Background

The Junior Business Manager is a member of the Country Management team and reports to the Italy Business Manager. The team is a broad function with a variety of responsibilities and touch points across the region and the firm globally.

Country Management drives the establishment and monitoring of management information and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensures robust governance and conduct in country, oversees budget, business analyses as well as local and regional projects. The team also plays a critical role in driving local culture and talent initiatives.

This position is a multi-faceted role, which requires sound judgement, organizational and planning skills, analytical ability and discretion, given the high level of confidentiality of information and data accessed.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the business
- Support on the Country Strategy preparation, QBR, budget process and forecast
- Support the coordination and preparation of senior visitors to the local offices
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc management information in support of local requirements
- Ensure proper operational support for local sales activities
- Elaborarte market and competitor intelligence reporting (Assogestioni analys, Broderige analys update etc)
- Collaborate with the central functions (es, EMEA FP&A) for the monitoring of the country actuals and budget numbers
- Elaborate the quarterly country communication to the association (Quarterly KPYs communication to Assogestioni)
- Support the coordination of the monthly business metrics (tabelloni)
- Support the coordination of the Italian Paco Budget and the CSSE related activities (es collaboration with compliance, legal, financial crime for get the CSSE events approvals)
- Elaborate KPIs (NNB, NNBF, Revenues) related to the Italian Partnership in place
- Collaborate and support for the creation of ah hoc presentation and deep-dive for business meeting
- Project Management & Business Development
- Collaborate on various country-led projects and day-to-day activity ensuring timely delivery of projects and quality execution of processes in line with management expectations
- Support development of business plans and business cases
- Support EMEA wide initiatives at the country level
- Communication & Management Information
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of performance metrics for the region
- Implement, track and refine change initiatives and align cross-functional efforts
- Support effective preparation and dissemination of employee communication via townhalls, forums, newsletters etc.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc management information in support of local requirements
- Conduct ad-hoc analytical assessments and recommendations
- Conduct & Governance
- Support self-audits to ensure robust local operating environment
- Act as point of escalation in country and help navigate those points effectively
- Be responsible for an adequate and effective governance framework for the Country Offices
- Oversee key processes and procedures at the Country level and ensure effective controls are in place

Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in asset management, financial services or consulting with a genuine interest in investments is a plus
- Fluency in English
- Strong MS Office Suite skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong team player and self-starter, who brings passion, dedication and energy to work
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across different countries, languages and cultures
