Packaging Npd Buyer

He/she will be responsible for the best packaging proposal in reference to a customer’s brief, and place the Purchase Order to the packaging supplier; to follow the project from the first quotation to the first launch on the market, in compliance to logistic and quality performances.

**Reporting to Packaging Senior Buyer, the job holder will be accountable for the following**:

- To source specific packaging related to a customer’s project, based on Sales request, in compliance with cost / quality / timing of the project.
- To negotiate the cost of the packaging with suppliers, and once the project is won, to place the Purchase Order of the launch on the market.
- To be in contact with Marketing Team in order to check/update existing “ready to go” packaging, but also to improve the packaging proposal in terms of innovation.
- To be involved in the Supplier Evaluation process regarding technical/commercial relations.
- To support Quality Department in managing nonconformities

**Skills required**:

- High School Diploma as a minimum; Preferably University Degree
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the make-up/cosmetic field or similar industry (e.g. beauty, cosmetic packaging, etc)
- Very good knowledge of English
- Strong knowledge of main IT systems (ERP, Office)
- Excellent and effective interpersonal skills
- Good communication and ability to synthesize
- Negotiation / Influencing skills: ability to achieve a satisfactory compromise and agreement to meet goals
- Very good analytical skills and ability to gather information when this is poor or lacking
