We are now looking for aThermal Engineer for Global Rating Software to join our team in Tognana, Italy.
What kind of work will you be doing
software development for analyzing modeling and predicting the heat transfer performance of Vertiv HVAC products and their components e.g. compressors, air cooling condensers, etc. perform heat transfer, fluid dynamic and thermodynamic analyses. processing and analysis of laboratory test data for model development validation of HVAC components and system models with data laboratory tests. Establish methodologies and equipment for thermal performance characterization of our custom cooling components and systems. Conduct testing under a variety of use conditions to determine whether they meet customer specifications. heat transfer analysis of commercial HVAC products and components technical support of existing products and development of new products within the global framework capability to fully exploit our internal software and | or commercial performance tools projectdocumentation and presentation of the progress of senior management projects comply with the procedures, rules and principles of the integrated management system work with engineering teams to design and test custom cooling systems and heat transfer components, such as liquid cold plates, air-refrigerant evaporators, air-liquid heat exchangers and condensers. development of new products and technical support for existing products What will make you successful:
Advanced engineering degree on mechanical engineering, with thermal specialization or energy engineering, applied physics or other related fields Minimum 3 years experience on system modeling and heat transfer analysis of commercial|industrial HVAC products and components Fields of study or work experience related to refrigeration|air conditioning or heat transfer is anyway appreciated Ideally having building software competence with fluid mechanics and heat transfer competence. Strong background on fluid mechanics, heat transfer, refrigeration and thermodynamics Experience with thermal analysis on refrigerant to air or other fluid heat exchangers (fin and tube and micro-channel), and HVAC system Experience and knowledge of heat exchangers (fin and tube, micro-channel, shell and tube, co-axial and brazed plate), and HVAC system Knowledge of numerical methods Nice to have. Good knowledge of HVAC products and European|worldwide regulation requirement Strong team effort mentality Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly Experience with C#,.NET, as high-level programming languages and basic SQL. Experience with other object-oriented programming language is anyway appreciated. MS Office mainly Excel and Access Responsibility, initiative, precision, communication and presentation capability
