Sales Manager
Role Scope
Sales Manager is responsible and manage and develop a specific sales territory. Manage, identifying and acquiring new customers in the B2B renewable energy (i.e. Photovoltaic) and energy efficiency sectors.
Main responsibility
- Seek actively customers, plan and organize introduction and sales meetings with customers, collaborate with other functions to develop market (i.e. marketing and incentives);
- Conduct directly sales meetings, presentations, offers cooperating with product managers when required, manage personally negotiations to achieve sales, review sales contracts to the closing and sign of the customer and of the CEO;
- Manage the sales process in order to minimize lead time between the first contact with the customer and the sign of the contract, actively support the cooperation of the internal organization to achieve the goal;
- Cooperate with Head of Sales, colleagues of the sales team and product managers for technical needs and support required by the clients or in order to achieve sales;
- Acts as the main contact for customers regarding commercial, technical, and quality related projects and activities supporting the technical team into better serve customer needs and requirements;
- Constantly monitor the market and competition, providing feedback to the product development team to develop offers to the customers, to improve our offering;
- Achieve growth, hit stable sales and goals/targets by successfully managing the sales, customers, sales organization of introducers or sales partners;
- Design and implement a sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence;
- Build and promote strong customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs for recurring sales and long-lasting sales contracts;
- Report actual sales, orders backlog, revenues plan, project sales pipeline and forecasts;
- Use and develop ICT group tools for sales process management (i.e. Salesforce);
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status, report periodically to Head of Sales and CEO.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience directly working for the sales organization of companies active into EPC of renewables, photovoltaic and energy efficiency solutions, Esco industry, multiutility sector
- High energy, entrepreneurial drive to grow sales from scratch
- Strong planning and organizational skills, preferably PM skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate across all levels, internally and externally
- English and Italian are a must, German is a plus, Chinese would be fantastic
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce are plus
- Self-starter and good team player with ability to work from home office and with willingness to travel up to 80% locally or overnight.
