**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITY**:
To lead Project Management assigned resources within PDS Business Unit.

**ASSIGNMENTS, SPECIFIC/PRIMARY ACTIVITIES**:

- Lead team to meet/exceed objectives through the implementation of project plans.
- Share needed information/knowledge to delivery projects on time and within scope by contract, addressing issues/risks and finding resolutions.
- Ensure support to PMs for Customers’ partnership
- Contribute to business processes implementation and update. This includes cooperate in the delivery of accurate forecasting for Monza.
- Assure that PM team has updated projects on Changepoint platform
- Provide support to the PPI initiatives
- Contribute ideas and proposals to help formulate strategy
- Suggest new methods and practices
- Seeking opportunities for growth; lead or support new initiatives, including the promotion of continuous improvement in business, operational and GMP processes.
- Develop staff by setting objectives, appraising performance, identifying training or development gaps and constructing training and development plans.
- Lead or support departmental or site projects as required.
- Plan and utilize available resources effectively in order to achieve business objectives
- Inter-departmental Interface: Working with all the departments Middle Management to support the efficient scheduling and execution of PDS project activities.
- Contribute to forecast and maintain departmental budgets.
- Review projects performance and identify trends.
- Support the CAS initiative as required

- To effectively communicate at all levels, internally and externally, adopting a professional approach to pro-actively influence and persuade others
- To promote the PDS business capabilities both internally and externally.
- To provide positive leadership, motivating and inspiring staff
- To be a communicator of key issues for discussion and resolution, suggesting possible improvements conducive to the smooth and efficient running of the team

**EH&S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
PDS Supervisor Project Management oversee the activities, within their responsibilities and assignments, taking the necessary safety measures to safeguard the environment, the health and safety of employees (according to Legislative Decree 81/08 and Legislative Decree 152/06).

**(a) Essentials**

**Education**
- BA or MS in Chemistry/ Pharmacy/ Biological Sciences or similar.

**Technical knowledges**
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Internet.
- Preferably Pharmaceutical background.

**Professional experiences**
- 3-5 years in project management field or management experience in a Pharmaceutical area (e.g. Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical trials Manufacture, Commercial Manufacture)

**Languages**
- English fluent.
- Any other second language is preferred.

**Personality Traits**:

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills required along with Negotiation and influencing capacity.
- Customer and result orientation along with Leadership are essential.
- Ability to communicate at all levels: active listening, effective message delivery, empathy, proactive attitude.
- Coaching and mentoring ability, resources management skills

**(b) Desirable**:

- Ph.D in scientific disciplines
- Knowledge of PM informatic tools (PPM software; Microsoft Project etc )
- PM certification (PMP; PRINCE2; Agile etc )
