Sensorial Assistant

We are looking for an ambitious and talented profile to join our **Quality Department **as** Sensorial Assistant, **reporting to the Sensorial Laboratory Manager in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (Florence, Italy) - Carapelli Firenze.

**What are we looking for?**

As part of the Quality team, you will ensure the smooth running of the following activities in the Italian site, together with the team:

- Selection of samples, verification of incoming raw materials, and preparation and evaluation of blends;
- Management of incoming tankers and subsequent warehouse movements;
- Monitoring and verification of production plans, incoming materials, oils in storage and draws up the blends production plan;
- Preparation of samples and their evaluation during tasting group sessions;
- Management of samples to be sent to third-party laboratories and product management;
- Management and maintenance of the laboratory software (LIMS).

**You will need some experience and knowledge to match with the role**:

- Degree in Chemistry OR similar
- Previous experience in sensorial evaluation of EVOO
- Knowledge of the main basic analytical and instrumental techniques.
- Knowledge of the general safety regulations in use in chemical laboratories
- Knowledge of regulations governing the use, handling and disposal of hazardous substances.
- Knowledge of food safety principles (GMP/HACCP). Proficient in XXX (please include tool/ software any other mandatory or nice to have tools)
- Good communication skills
- Process-oriented, fact-based and a strong sense of urgency
- Cross cultural awareness and ability to work with different cultures
- Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written. Spanish is a nice to have.
- Availability to national and international travels up to 20% of the time
