**YOUR TEAM**

You will be working within a multicultural and multidisciplinary group, composed of Neuroscientists, Physicists and Biologists, each contributing their expertise to conduct joint research.

The goal of this project is to design, implement and conduct concurrent measurement of fMRI and widefield optical imaging in the mouse. This work will be carried out in Rovereto (Italy), with key input by Dr. Evelyn Lake, at Yale University (USA). For research relevant to this position, please see Lake et al., (2022) Nature Methods. Technical support from onsite experts in design of advanced technologies will be provided.

This research is ultimately aimed at understanding how endogenous and exogenous neuromodulation controls brain network dynamics.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- A PhD degree in Neuroscience, Bioengineering or equivalent
- Prior hands-on experience in _in vivo_ experimental neuroscience methods
- Proficiency in coding languages commonly used in image analysis, such as Python, R, or MATLAB will be highly valued. Experience with other relevant programming languages or software packages is also advantageous.
- Ability and motivation to work independently as well as collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
- Good English language skill, both spoken and written, is required
- Being the first-author of, at least, one published preprint or article

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Prior experience with the design and assembly of optical setups
- Knowledge of brain imaging techniques (e.g., functional MRI, widefield optical imaging) and concepts in systems neuroscience
- Motivation to pursue a career in academic research will be considered a preferential quality
