Gis Expert

Your tasks:

- Definition of GIS strategies for the analysis and modelling of biodiversity data with a focus on spatial information, from Earth Observations (EO) to species observations;
- Analysis of spatial information and preparation of maps and products to be integrated within our web services and/or technical reports;
- Identify, collect, organize and manage biodiversity and environmental information and the supporting documentation with a focus on Europe;
- Reporting and presenting of status of development, results of the work and on technical advice on GI and cloud integration and infrastructures;
- Ensure standardization and interoperability of the products for GIS and geospatial data in cloud environments.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with minimum 13 years of relevant experience;
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in GIS analysis, generation of environmental products;
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in EO based spatial modelling;
- At least 5 years of specific expertise in programming languages (python, R);
- Very good knowledge of GIS tools supporting EO/GIS data exploitation, either commercial products (ArcGIS) or open source (QGIS);
- Excellent command of the English language.
