**Business Development Manager (f/m/d) - Europe South**

**based in Italy**

The Business Development Manager is responsible for profitable sales growth by winning new customers in this fast-growing segment, as well as building on existing customer relationships and expanding opportunities through new business. The Business Development Manager fosters strong customer relationships by providing personalized service and valuable expertise in Biodecontamination and delivering solutions to customers. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the projects from lead generation to delivery of the products and services.

**What you will do**:

- Develop a go-to-market strategy based on market intelligence and competitive landscape analysis
- Grow new business opportunities and drive profitable revenue growth through sales pipeline management
- Drive the successful introduction of new and existing value-added products and ensure budgeted goals are met with customers and distributors across region
- Create lead generation for new opportunities and close new accounts with equipment sales and one-time bio-decontamination services
- Provide and/or coordinate access to technical support for customers
- Maintain close communication with all distributors, including fieldtrips from a coaching and management perspective
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts
- Provide business development plans documenting the opportunity in the CRM system and transition the ongoing customer management to local Account Managers
- Schedule and attend annual business reviews with all dealers ensuring that account goals and objectives are identified and follow-up action plans are in place and tracked

**What you will need**:

- University degree in biology, science, engineering, chemistry, business or related field
- 3-4 years of successful sales experience in the Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industry
- Ideally technical sales experience in in capital equipment for the Life Sciences market
- Experience in setting up and managing a distributor network
- Strong ability to effectively communicate throughout an entire organization and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on an international and virtual basis
- Analytical skills combined with an inquisitive nature, strong learning agility, and a proactive hands-on approach
- Strong interpersonal, intercultural & relationship skills
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus
- Willingness to travel in the region
