**Duties**:

- Provide guidance and accountability of the brigade's Intelligence budget execution.
- Provide financial data to the Brigade Resource Management Officer (RMO) on cost efficiencies and savings.
- Ensure Brigade managers are informed of any upcoming budget changes from higher HQ and other outside organizations.
- Assess the impacts of the program changes based on proposals and adjustments from higher headquarters.
- Serve as advisor to the resource manager on all matters related to resource management functions, audit readiness, budgeting functions, financial accountability and analysis, and/or accounting for appropriated funds.
- Responsible for budgetary operations for a multi-Intel disciplined Military Intelligence Brigade.

- Establish and/or records commitments, obligations, accruals, and disbursements, plus asset funding levels using Account Codes.

**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.
- Certification Level 2: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act. See additional information section.

- **Budget Analyst**:

- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS-09 that prepared you to do this job. Specialize experience is defined and experience which includes providing budget administration and execution as well as verifying and obligating funds for disbursement. This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service.

- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Financial Management.
- OR
- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
- Budget Administration
- Budget Execution
- Financial Management Analysis
- Financial Management Systems
