**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced **DWH Architect** to join our Data Management team for an exciting M2C (Move to Cloud) project. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing our current on-premises DWH Oracle architecture, proposing re-engineering solutions to reduce complexity, and designing a new architecture on the Google Cloud platform, specifically utilizing BigQuery as the data warehouse. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of our data infrastructure and play a crucial role in shaping our cloud-based DWH.

**Day-to-Day Responsibilities**
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of our existing on-premises DWH Oracle architecture, including the assessment of different staging layers and presentation layers.
- Identify areas of improvement and propose re-engineering strategies to streamline and simplify the architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, data flows, and data usage patterns.
- Design a new cloud-based DWH architecture using Google Cloud, with a specific focus on leveraging BigQuery's capabilities.
- Develop a Proof of Value (PoV) to showcase the feasibility and benefits of the proposed cloud architecture, highlighting its advantages over the current on-premises setup.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of both Oracle DWH and BigQuery, utilizing this knowledge to optimize data integration, transformation, and storage processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to implement the proposed architecture and ensure a successful migration to the cloud.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in DWH technologies, particularly in relation to cloud-based solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including user manuals, and system specifications.

**Who Are We Looking For**

- Strong expertise in DWH architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Proficiency in Oracle DWH, including knowledge of Oracle database technologies and data modeling techniques.
- Good expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly in working with BigQuery as a data warehouse solution.
- Ability to analyze complex data requirements, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find creative ways to overcome challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Relevant certifications in DWH architecture, Oracle, or Google Cloud are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) with willingness to learn German.
