IT Security Specialist

If you have a passion for security topics and technologies, this advertised position is for you. We are looking for a talented IT Security Specialist to join our worldwide Security Team and actively contribute to improving u-blox security posture.
- You will be working in a tech-leading, innovative, and multicultural environment, in which you will leverage knowledge, creativity, autonomy, and communication skills.
- You will collaborate within IT Organization in the IT security function, and you will be in contact with all IT departments, business units and Corporate Security functions.
- The role is available in Sgonico (Trieste-Italy) and Cambourne (UK)**Your Responsibilities**
- Manage security alerts and incidents detected by the external Security Operation Center (SOC) and all phases of alerts and incidents lifecycle
- Ensure that IT security operational tasks are performed effectively.
- Review and test new IT solutions (new Infrastructure, services), during the design phase and before going live. Participate in internal and external penetration test activities, managing related identified security actions identified during these tests

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Information technology and network computing knowledge
- well-developed analytical skills to investigate and respond to threats and attention to details
- Ability to react quickly, decisively and deliberately in emergency situations
- Ability to clearly communicate security incidents and procedures to other information technology professionals and people who may not have a background in technology
- Willingness to learn continually. Technology and security threats change rapidly over time.
- BS or MA in Computer Science, IT Security, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in IT Security and /or in other IT functions like IT Operations
