**Yurika** is playing in a very exciting space, supporting the design and construction of Australia’s largest utility-scale **wind farms, solar farms, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), even EV.**

Even if you haven’t heard of **Energy Queensland** you might know our operational brands - **Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Energy Retail and Yurika.** As a group, we are growing rapidly and a key partner in the **Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan (QEJP)**.

These are **Queensland-based** roles (Brisbane base is preferred however applicants from other major QLD centres are encouraged to apply) and will have extensive travel requirements within Australia on an as required basis per project. Whilst employed on a 9 day a fortnight roster, teams working away (FIFO/DIDO) generally work on a 10 on, 4 off basis to deliver our exciting portfolio of projects across Australia.

**The Role**

Our rapidly-growing team has a number of key activities to deliver including the construction and installation of electric vehicle (EV) fast-chargers across multiple locations nationwide for one of our major clients. The Technical Service Person - Renewables performs construction, installation and maintenance functions on renewable power plant and equipment including solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems and EV chargers. The role ensures that the site and/or installation (including all equipment, circuitry and apparatus) operates in a safe manner within Australian Standards, design limits and expected lifespans.

**About you**

Critical to your success in this role is your demonstrated knowledge of and ability in the construction and maintenance of renewable power systems and components including solar PV systems, battery systems and EV chargers in both low voltage installations such as large BESS systems and; associated high voltage installation of transformers, RMU’s and high voltage cabling.

You are electrically trade qualified and hold the following:
**Mandatory**:

- Queensland Electrical Workers Licence as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic
- Construction industry induction card
- Open C class Australian Drivers Licence
- Current Senior First Aid, CPR and LV Rescue competencies
- **Desirable**:

- CEC Accreditation in the installation of grid-connected PV systems (essential) and off-grid systems (desirable)
- National accreditation in HV switching.
- Working knowledge of Energy Queensland and Yurika policies, procedures and safe work practices is highly desirable.
- Polymeric Cable Jointing up to 33kV
- High Risk Work Licences: Dogger (DG), Basic rigging work (RB), C2 slewing crane
- RIIHAN309F - Conduct Telescopic materials handler operations
