**Senior Technical Specialist**

The Senior Technical Specialist leads the individual technical development projects. Improve product quality, security, and performance and will report to the Chief Engineer Europe

**RESPONSABILITIES**

Consider a broad range of options and applies sound judgement to develop solutions within their specific specialism. Influences direction for their specialism at a senior level.

Provide deep specialist consultancy, guidance and support based on their assigned area of expertise by performing technical presentations within area of responsibility.

Work with Test Engineers, Managers, Sales and customers as required and ensures any solution within their specific specialism fits with strategic and technical direction

Support sales by working with the customer to understand their problem and define scope of work for LINK to quote.

Support Marketing by creating technical content (e.g. product brochure, white papers, presentation content etc..) within area of responsibility.

Recognize opportunities for business change, communicates them persuasively to appropriate stakeholders.

Oversee the execution of the most complex development / unique tests within assigned area of expertise to ensure customer satisfaction.

Continuously improving the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services within area of responsibility.

Assist others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problem and recommend smart (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely) solutions

Support the development of training programs that reinforce the technical competence of the engineering team

Participate in the development of and review of industry standards, documentation and test procedures in the assigned area of expertise

Creates technical presentations/ papers and presents at industry events.

Perform preliminary studies, general systems specifications and detailed systems specifications for new equipment / measurement techniques within assigned area of expertise

Work with the engineering team and other managers to ensure that internal engineering tools and processes are scrutinized and continually improved to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Review and approve the formatting and content of technical reports prior to distribution to customers to ensure ISO-17025 compliance and customer satisfaction

Continuously improve current methods with regard to technical accuracy, operational efficiency and reducing likely errors

Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.

Responsible for submitting an accurate labor ticket on a daily basis.

**SKILLS**

Engineer (Dipl.Ing.), Master or Bachelor of Science or Engineering.

Detailed experience about complex technical equipment

Min. 2 years of experience in quality management

Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team

Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and system

**Competencies**:
Leadership skills (coaching, empowering, motivating, staffing )

Languages: German: very good (verbal and written), English: very good (verbal and written)

Advanced Computer Skills in particular MS Office (in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP

Excellent communication skills

Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, creating reports and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends

Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
