By joining us as a **Key Account Manager **you will be the face of Emerson in front of our main E.P.C.s **key customers **based in Rome, Italy, for all the Emerson product portfolio.

Reporting to the E.P.C.s Sales Manager Italy, you will develop, cultivate, and manage long term relationships with key customers and maximize sales opportunities with them. You will also help identify and qualify new business opportunities within a base of prospects and promote customer satisfaction and loyalty by demonstrating an understanding of their business and needs. The role is also accountable for achieving specified revenue targets.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:

- Identify project opportunities in order to establish future growth
- Construct and implement profitable long-term account plans. Develop these account strategies with the support of Sales Managers
- Be responsible for assessing, clarifying, and validating the consumers’ needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that are up to the business’s standards
- Maintain data and information relevant to key accounts for the purpose of conducting analyses that influence account-specific decision making
- Serve as the link of communication between clients and internal teams
- Be connected daily with colleagues in other World Areas
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Collaborate with the Project Sales Team, Project End Users and the respective Account Managers
- Coordinate sales project activities and makes sure that all efforts are done to get the clients products qualified
- Be responsible for budget for the assigned account and specific targets for new product introductions

**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:

- Technical education or bachelor’s degree in engineering;
- At least 5 years of proven successful experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs;
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of assigned industry and market area
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels along with business acumen and strong negotiation skills;
- Fluency in Italian and good command of English;
- To be based near Rome and have willingness to travel up to 70 % of the time.
