**LOGISTICS DIRECTOR**:
**Main responsibilities**:
The Logistics Director, as a part of the Logistics Europe team, reporting to the Logistics Director of the cluster, will be in charge of leading the main Italian distribution center to deliver tailored solutions to the company’s customers in Italy whilst improving their satisfaction through high service levels and reliable delivery plans, optimizing the logistics costs and working capital in a safe and engaging environment for the employees.

Main tasks:

- to lead the facility change initiatives to drive obtainment of operational quality, costs, productivity and/or service levels, inspiring continuous improvement actions. The role further develops the safety culture at all levels
- With an end-to-end supply chain mindset, the role collaborates with the business leaders to set the delivery plans and lead the execution. He/she is responsible for engaging the front office in supply chain activities and initiatives. This means to understand the needs and concerns of the country, involves developing partnerships with peers and fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- The person is customer driven: he/she connects directly with all the customer’s types to set up and maintain the logistics and systems solutions that support their growth with a solid customer case management background and ability to identify and implement new delivery capabilities to improve customer experience.
- To lead the plant operations in collaboration with the local trade unions. Effective communication and conflict resolution skills will be essential in managing these relationships and maintaining a productive and positive working environment.
- To lead the digital transformation within your perimeter and engage the entire workforce to grow in the digital space.
- To drive and engage sustainability actions, to reduce carbon emissions in the site operations and in relation with the transport partners and to develop circular economy. The role proactively shares greenhouse gas reduction best practices within the greater logistics community, both regionally and globally.

**_Targeted person_**
- Successful experience managing operations, logistics or manufacturing environment, and driving a P&L. Understand the critical levers that impact the operation costs, drive productivity and efficiency and support the business for the different go to market with full transparency and visibility on the costs.
- You demonstrate strong quality records within warehouse and transport domains, and you are familiar with quality improvement methodologies (Problem solving, 6 sigma, Lessons learned). You know and ensure compliance to the regulatory environment - health and safety, environment, warehousing, people management, customs, financial controls.
- Experienced in continuous improvement and lean methodologies, you drive the team sustainably to the highest performance and service. You develop your team to function at peak efficiency with minimum oversight and capable to formulate tactics to address challenges without compromising timelines and progress.
- You are at ease in an ERP environment (preferable SAP ECC or S4 Hana) and understand what changes are required in the IT platforms to meet new business requirements; You know the overall IT structure related to order life cycle, warehousing and transport.
- You have a proven track of records in managing 3PL and freight forwarders, building win-win relationship and driving for high standards.
- You are comfortable to operate in large organization; you connect naturally with peers from other countries and businesses, and you formulate clear annual improvement plans on the core of logistics - safety, quality, service, productivity
- You must be fluent in English
