Gis Expert

**Your tasks**
- Search, handle, download, manage and process datasets relevant for the accomplishment of tasks related to the indicator development;
- Help calculate pollinator indicators and test and validate the proposals, including a CAP pollinator indicator;
- Providing technical support;
- Assist with the establishment of a helpdesk’ point to collect and redirect stakeholder’s queries which includes addressing specific questions;
- Maintaining a web-based log of frequently asked questions;
- Contribute to the preparation of technical report and scientific manuscripts.

**Requirements**:

- University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with 7 years of relevant experience;
- Excellent scientific and technical knowledge on pollinators;
- Excellent knowledge of spatial statistics applied in the area of ecosystem services;
- Good knowledge and experience of GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS) or open-source software (GRASS);
- Good knowledge of R (R Project for Statistical Computing ), with independent programming skills;
- Knowledge of clustering and ordination methods;
- Knowledge of database management and the development of meta-data;
- Experience with reproducible workflows, code version control and management (e.g. using GitHub);
- Experience in the collation of remote sensing data using cloud computing platforms is an asset;
- Excellent command of the English language.
