The Global Information Technology (IT) Department of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is actively working on rationalising and streamlining the diverse technological landscape within the Group. This ongoing initiative bears many aspects and lead to many projects mobilising the overall workforce of the company.

**Sap Security Specialist**:
The SAP Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the SAP Platforms meets the Corporate Infrastructure / Cloud and Application Security policy requirements. Under the supervision of the SAP Technical Infrastructure Manager, the SAP Security Specialist will oversee and deliver the Security Strategy of the SAP systems (including ECC, S/4, PI, OpenText, HANA, Solution Manager, FC, FIM, DM, etc.) and integrated interfaces for SAP and non-SAP Systems.
- Ensure implementation of latest security solutions/standards in the SAP landscape.
- Ensure proactive security monitoring and immediate remediation of identified issues / threats / vulnerabilities in the SAP landscape.
- Ensure compliance with security controls in the SAP landscape
- Stakeholder management for:
Security assessment of new patches / releases / upgrades / integrations / new systems.
Exception handling.
Reporting and improvement.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include adhering to Information Security and ITIL best practices:
Corporate Governance Duties
- Work with the corporate Sec Team and SAP team in identifying security improvement initiatives in the SAP landscape and incorporate the latest security trends / solutions identified in the market.
- Manage security and related risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place that have been identified across the SAP landscape and feed into the corporate Sec Team risk register.
- Support a comprehensive audit trail of SAP IT General Controls (ITGCs), working closely with the internal and external auditors, business owners and SAP teams.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments on SAP landscape to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and take the appropriate remediation measures.

Security Operations
- Ensure adherence to security policies, processes, and procedures in the SAP landscape.
- Define/implement security controls in the SAP landscape to enforce defined security policy
- Monitor and report on compliance with security policy and controls.
- Perform security assessments with respect to SAP upgrades, new releases and integrations with other systems.
- Manage/remediate security related risks in the SAP environment.
- Managing incident response, and reporting security incidents to the appropriate parties.
- Understand security issues/vulnerabilities from the SAP platform support vendors and identify/implement mitigations for the same.
- Handle all security related exceptions and support SAP teams on resolving the same.
- Support Security Release roadmap in the SAP environment.

Experience, Competencies and Qualifications
- Experience in at least 4-6 implementation, upgrade or migration projects for SAP Security.
- Strong experience with SAP security architecture, design and implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP security best practices and guidelines such as SAP Security Guide and SAP Security Optimization Service.
- Secure communication protocols for SAP systems and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions for SAP systems.
- Proactive management of issues and risks, establishing mitigation and contingency plans.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Team player with excellent inter-personal skills to work in a multi-cultural environment both independently and with various teams and to enrich knowledge sharing.
