Primary Location(s): Williams Lake, BC
Office or Field: Office and field. Flexible work schedule.
Travel: Some field work and travel are expected. Varies by position.
Compensation: Compensation varies by position, typically $35 - $55 / hr plus overtime, travel, professional dues, benefits, and year-end bonus. Variation in salary is determined by factors such as position sought, qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership and project coordination on a broad range of environmental projects in a variety of natural resource sectors working with Indigenous Partners and communities.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring junior team members.
Your education, training, and memberships:
- Current or eligibility within 1 year for a relevant professional designation (e.g., RPBio, PBiol, PAg, RPF, etc.) is an asset.
Your skills and experience:
- Five years experience with Indigenous Communities & related businesses.
- Knowledge of environmental and forestry regulatory processes in BC.
- Familiarity with:
- Liaising with Indigenous partners, clients, and regulators.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring staff.
- Preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Preparation and delivery of presentations to communities, Nation partners, and clients.
- Organization of community and partner events and outreach.
- Desirable Traits:
- Willingness to present at seminars or conferences and for networking with other professionals and prospective clients.
- A focus on results to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
- Ability to adapt to changes throughout project life-cycles.
- Ability to work extended or flexible hours to match client requests.
