**R&D **Mechanical** Designer**

**MISSION**

Ensure the management of design and testing activities for Low-backlash Gearboxes, setting strategic guidelines and short-term and long-term targets for product/technology improvement with the aim to develop system and product technologies that allow the company to achieve the business goals.

Manage new gearheads design processes resolving technical problems and supporting Sales and Branches in the sizing of the components and product selection.

**MAIN RESPONSABILITIES**:

- Define product specifications and design innovative low-back-lash gearboxes and gearmotors exploring new solutions to mechanical design problems and developing new products by studying customer requirements
- Provide detailed drawings, calculation and documentation following Company procedures based on technical specifications and managing product changes and deviations
- Provide engineering information and support to clients and/or Customer Application Engineering team
- Assure product quality by designing in compliance to global standards and regulations
- Use CAD software and advanced PDM tools following the R&D process workflow.
- Define and run test plans and processes (“on the bench” and at customer site) in order to obtain the validation of the product in terms of matching of performance requirements, life and reliability, liaising with Design teams
- Manage and create all documentation associated with new project or changes of existing product, to cover all elements of the project life cycle (project requirements, preliminary and final design and release, update of product documentation)
- Prepares product reports by collecting technical information

**REQUIRED SKILLS**
- Mechanical Engineering knowledge
- CAD design tool 2D/3D Unigraphics NX, KISSSOFT
- Teamcenter PDM tools
- Experience in the gearbox and power trasmission field
- Analytical calculation skills
- Drawing and computer skills
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Fluent in English
