The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific resource that strategically supports the medical and scientific objectives of Alexions scientific platform and products across the products life cycle. He/she is a peer scientific expert who communicates accurate and applicable scientific and medical information to Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) and collects relevant data for Alexion from the field within a geographic area. In addition, the MSL manages and maintains collegial and professional relationships with HCPs and identifies and facilitates collaboration opportunities with Alexion.The Medical Science Liaison will report directly to the Medical Affairs Manager NF_1 and will be accountable for the assigned therapeutic area for the whole Country. Job Duties and responsibilities:
Scientific Communication Develop and maintain the highest scientific and medical expertise in the relevant field and be acknowledged internally and externally as an expert in the assigned therapeutic areaDeliver High quality medical education presentations in a variety of settings (F2F and Hospital Meetings) Identify and address relevant educational gaps and address them by appropriate and compliant medical education activitiesEnsure timely and informative scientific/medical exchanges with customers and internal partners, in accordance with compliance policies and with legal requirements Medical Intelligence Develop in depth knowledge of the assigned therapeutic area, in terms of sites,physicians, laboratories and current diagnostic and clinical practicesObtain valuable feedback from the field to be shared with internal stakeholders KOLs Development Drive the identification of National and Local Opinion Leaders Build and maintain strong partnerships with Opinion Leaders and other external stakeholders, including professional organisations Clinical Studies Liaise with Clinical Operations to support clinical study feasibility and effective study implementation and on-going management of Alexion sponsored trialsFacilitate and supervise activities related to post-marketing observational studies/registries and act as a point of contact for investigator sponsored research projects Medical Information Reactively respond to medical information inquiries, according to Alexion policy Compliance Stay current of local laws and guidelines, codes of practices and Alexion policies relevant to Medical Affairs activity Essential Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology industry as MSL or in scientific sales Proven capacity to:
