Global Nutrition

**Job Purpose**

The Global Nutrition & Wellbeing Manager is responsible for providing Nutrition and Wellbeing expertise and guidance in order to support the growth of the business. She/he will support the Company in the field of nutrition and health by championing research projects, the adoption of Nutrition and Wellbeing Framework, health communications, and the Mediterranean Diet basics for the global product portfolio. He/she will proactively collaborate with internal and external partners. She/he reports to Global Nutrition & Wellbeing Director

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and propose research programs to advance Nutrition & Wellbeing science identifying gaps and opportunity areas for Barilla.
- Coordinate the Nutrition & Wellbeing research projects in collaboration with research institutes to both protect Barilla's core business and evolve the benefits of the portfolio for the future.
- Build, leverage, and maintain a network of key researchers in Nutrition & Wellbeing to support research programs and business objectives. Become the Barilla point person for the external nutrition research environment.
- Lend nutritional expertise to Marketing, Research, Development & Quality, External Communication, Public & Scientific Affairs & Sustainability, and Technical Regulatory functions to support product development, innovation, communication/education projects and understanding of public health recommendations.
- Evolve the Nutrition & Wellbeing Framework, bringing principles and science-based evidence, to align it with Barilla Nutrition & Wellbeing strategy, brand strategies, public health policies, and government guidelines.
- Contribute to embedding the Nutrition & Wellbeing Framework into the business and monitor the goals advancements and achievements.
- Ensure data collection and content for the Annual Sustainability Report to show to stakeholders the key results that have been achieved and the roadmap for coming years in the Nutrition & Wellbeing field.
- Proactively participate in Nutrition & Wellbeing HUB meetings and activities, with internal and external stakeholders, to support the Company on Nutrition & Wellbeing strategies.
- Represent the Company in external scientific conferences, symposiums, nutrition organizations, and committees.
- Create opportunities to present externally Barilla’s portfolio, innovations, programs, and commitment toward Nutrition & Wellbeing.
- Stay knowledgeable of advancements and updates in Nutrition & Wellbeing research findings and government policy.
- Drive training sessions and specific programs for employees to strengthen the importance of the Nutrition & Wellbeing science and of the Mediterranean lifestyle.

**Requirements**:

- Master's Degree in Human Nutrition/ Dietetics/Biology/Food Science.
- PhD in Human Nutrition preferred
- Experience in nutrition research studies management study is a plus
- 3-5 years of working experience in the field of nutrition in research institutes, and /or in food industry, and /or in industry association groups and /or related experience.
- Ability to manage independent projects and prioritize workload.
- Ability to collaborate with both internal and external partners.
- Ability to effectively work with cross-functional and global team
- Attitude for summarizing technical information for non-technical audiences.
- English fluent, both spoken and written.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
