X86 Virtualization

GOSP - Generali Operations Service Platform is a joint-venture between Generali and Accenture and provides IT and Procurement services to Generali Group companies. Our purpose is to accelerate the Group's innovation and digitization strategy through the Cloud and shared platforms. Based in Italy it has 5 branches across Europe and employs about 1.000 people.

The main responsibility of the role are:

- Administrate the X86 Hosting perimeter (Europe) under the responsability of the French Regional Manager. Collaborate closely with the others five X86's Competences Center cross Europe (X86's competences centers Must be considerate as ONE virtual department cross countries). The teams is composed initially by 10 internals and some externals.
- Deliver excellent operations for the group (6 countries) and continuously drive execution improvement.
- Is recognized as the technical authority in the group on his area of expertise (Hardware/Hyperconvergence/Hypervisor layer).
- Is responsible of the HW Management: Hardware Basket, Hardware configuration, Firmware Update, Monitoring and Management, SLA assignments. Multivendor management.

Operational responsibilities:

- Is responsible of the Hypervisor Management. Design, Build and Management with all Operational responsibilities.
- Is responsible of the Hyperconverged Systems Management. Design, Build and Management with all Operational responsibilities.
- Operate service to meet and exceed SLAs (Service Level Agreements) by planning, executing, and managing proactively. Provide 24x7 continuous service monitoring, preventive maintenance, and emergency response capabilities.
- Develop metrics and operational process to measure and continually drive system availability, performance and cost efficiency.
- Plan and meet operations financial objectives by contributing to budgets, scheduling expenditures.
- Provide efficient communication and decision-support to managers at all levels.
- Production quality focussed, he/she will have to communicate pro-actively on issues to his/her management and colleagues.
- Able to work on a challenging environment -with cultural gap
- with our European collegues and the 24-hour nature of our global busines.
- Travel on a regular basis (monthly) across Europe to meet our colleagues, know each other and work better all together : Italy, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Czeh Republic or France.

The job will integrate (after technical / organisational Ramp UP) an on-duty coverage at night and weekend (rotation across the team) 1 week every 6 to 8.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT with minimum 5 years in a similar role;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must (French and English);
- Significant experience and knowledge of managing a Hardware Basket, Hardware configuration and monitoring, Firmware Upgrades, Installation a must
- Dell, HPe and Nutanix Appliances would be a nice to have (Supermicro appliances);
- Significant experience and knowledge of Hypervisor Management. VMWare, Citrix XEN, MS Hyper-V (Design, Build and Management) a must;
- Significant experience and knowledge of Hyperconverged Systems Management (VSAN and Nutanix). a must;
- Significant of ITIL processes and their implementation in IT organizations;
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization;
- Focus on delivering business solutions (people, process, and technology) that provide value, not just installing technology. Proven record of accomplishment of collaborating with business management in the delivery of IT enabled business solutions;
- Focus on continious improvements and positive mindset;
- Experience collaborating with others in IT management to deliver shared results (work as a team). Ability to achieve results without necessarily having a reporting relationship;
- Must be in capability to travel cross Europe to deliver excellence for the Competence Center "Hosting" (Monthly basis).
