Summary

Following the guidelines and input of the Creative Directors MRTW/WRTW the Designer will design and help develop a collection/special project in line with the Brand aesthetic and principles.

**Job Description**:

- Key Accountabilities

Research trends and inspirations:

- Participate in the creativity of the category through knowledge of latest trends
- Monitor the marketplace to identify opportunities to stay ahead of the competitors
- Based on a theme or on RTW Creative Directors inputs, research inspiration thought: vintage markets, suppliers, archives, web, expositions, books.

Design and creativity:

- Search proper Denim washing & treatments
- Develop sketches in coherence with the inputs and the Brand aesthetic
- Propose new ideas
- Share the draws with the Head of Design and modify or integrate with size, proportion, materials and colours
- Continuously interacts with different categories to ensure coherence on the Collection/Fashion Show project

Collection development:

- Ensure a clear communication with Product Development and Patter Makers, providing all the information needs (e.g. proportions, sizes, materials, colours) for the sample realization
- Monitor the development of samples supporting the Product Development explaining peculiarities of the product or guaranteeing solutions in case of issues
- Guarantee with the Head of Design an accurate control of the samples developed, verifying the coherence with draws realized, making sure that the sample reflects the ideas and ensuring that the materials are appropriated and enhance the product
- Requirements

Functional
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role (specific Denim or Sportswear)
- Good knowledge in product development constructions, materials, fabrics, techniques and industrial production processes (washing, Treatment)
- Sound culture of fashion, trends, designers and history of the Brand
- Good hand-drawing skills
- Creative and flexible mind, able to adapt to the aesthetic of the Brand
- Proficient on all design platforms such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Suite as well
- Positive spirit, able to forge working teams with different multi-cultural personalities
- Problem solving and solution orientated with a ‘Can-do’ attitude
- Ability to maintain energy, focus and to work under pressure
- Fluency in Italian and English
