As a buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in Process Automation Measurement & Analytics, in Italy. In this role you will provide assistance to the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures and by providing relevant market information.

**This position reports to**:
Sales Support Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team, supplier Quality and engineering specialists, using SAP ARIBA tool.
- Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms, negotiating with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions.
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs.
- Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures.
- Overseeing of supplier performance evaluation (on-time delivery, quality, lead time, HSE) and resolving performance issues.

**Your background**:

- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, in alternative Economics backgrounds are welcome.
- At least 1 - 2 years of experience in the field, working as buyer of direct materials and services for Industrial solutions.
- Demonstrated experience working with international team and standard operating procedures.
- Strong Knowledge of SAP ERP.
- Good knowledge of English and Italian fluency, both written and spoken.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Proactivity, teamwork skills, problem solving, and result orientation will complete your profile.
