**Responsibility Description**

This role enables quality to be built into the design, development, and commercialization for products and processes through advanced Quality planning and excellence in innovation deployment.

This position is the primary Quality and Food Safety (Q&FS) partner (‘the face of R&D and engineering) for manufacturing sites’ activity management across all value streams in providing Quality technical leadership for enabling the execution of new projects to meet all regulatory requirements and all internal Quality & Food Safety global standards.

This role is specific to products manufactured by Company’s owned manufacturing sites as well as Co-Manufacturers operations.
As Quality is contributing to ensuring end-to-end successful launches, the role needs to work closely with multiple stakeholders in the business and internally liaise with R&D, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain.

**Primary Activities**
- Identify and develop the Critical to Quality requirements for innovative products based on product concept, brand quality expectation and consumers' research findings into a Quality Requirement Specification.
- Lead and Facilitate New acquired business Q&FS, compliance integration program.
- Lead Q&FS risk assessment as regards Insourcing and Outsourcing manufacturing projects.
- Support and foster sharing of best practices across the region.
- Participate in the technical development and delivery of Innovation on behalf of the Quality workstream through concept, design, development and commercialization stages.
- Develop and implement product design validation plans, protocols and reports, process validation and related technical standards.
- On-line detection systems implementation and capability.
- Ensure Quality being integrated into each project deliverable and specific Quality protocols.
- Ensure products labeling claims sustainability.
- Support prototype development & manufacture and review and approve based on validation testing.
- Support qualification of new technology - process and review and approve process capability and process validation reports.
- Ensure that the minimum conditions and activities necessary to establish, implement and maintain a hygienic environment are considered throughout the whole manufacturing process and related activities.
- Create and coordinate work groups to identify risk and reduce consumer/customer complaints.

**Tools/Systems Used**
- Food Safety (FS) and Quality System (QS).
- Quality KPI’s - Management Review of Quality (MRQ).
- Statistic Process Control (SPC) Tools and Total Quality Management (TQM) tools.
- Consumer Complaint Communication Process.

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Leading w/o authority and ability to engage different stakeholders (Quality/R&D/Plant Directors/Technical teams).
- Critical thinking, highly developed sense of observation, and solution finding.
- Highly developed ability to communicate efficiently internally and externally to explain in meaningful terms the Food Safety and Hygienic requirements.
- Very good team player. Needs to be firm but have diplomacy and the ability to influence behaviors.
- Good listening skills, auditing skills, and good initiative and autonomy.
- Flexibility to travel for short and mid-term business trips.
- English is a must, fluent in Italian, French nice to have.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Higher education in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent Applied Science.
- Advanced knowledge of HACCP, GFSI standards, Beverages Food Safety, Hygienic design, Thermal Processes, Preservation Systems.
- 6-8 years of experience in different quality-related areas such as raw materials, distribution, manufacturing, vendors management, regulatory compliance, product development.
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing site managing quality and food safety management systems responsible position related to food safety or Quality and food safety management system.
- Experience in quality systems and regulated businesses for Food & Beverages.
