YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In order to achieve the technical requirement defined by Vehicle Chief Engineers the main responsibilities of the position include:

- create and manage Product Request
- create and manage EPPs (Engine Product Profile) according to Vehicle Chief Engineer and Platform requirements
- interact with Engine supplier to collect and share all technical information
- support Chief Engineer and Product Specialist during the engine curves definition
- identify main EI (Engine Installation) components (cooling package, ATS After Treatment System, etc.) according to Engine supplier requirement and Engine Installation specialist suggestions
- define components characteristics according to Vehicle performances expectation and DQP (Design Quality Procedure)
- lead vehicle teams identifying the best compromise between available components, performance and vehicle constraints
- is strongly focused on vehicle team requirement and work with them to achieve the technical cost and timing (PER, FER) target
- support the definition of new component through Product Card creation
- lead the discussion with suppliers (technical review) and is able to provide a feedback
- lead vehicle team and EI specialists to be compliant with EI and ATS Guideline lead Design Analysis and Simulation (CFD, FEM) activities
- lead discussion with engine supplier and vehicle team during 3D design freeze phases
- create and maintain TCAE 3D engine groups according to engine 3D models and 2D drawings provided by engine supplier
- complete eBoM (engineering Bill of Material)
- provide system schemes and homologation drawings
- provide components technical data analysis/comparison
- support the engine homologation and certification documents collection at proper time
- support all phases (Flexibility, Transition/Stockpile) needed in advance to new emission level strategy rump up implementation
- support checklist preparation on the vehicles according to engine supplier requirement
- lead EI design reviews & D-FMEA's as requested
- lead and manage outsourced design resources if needed
- support prototype phase by Work Orders
- provide technical support to other company functions (Product Validation, Technical publication, etc.)
- support during Application Matrix definition and development
- release the engine and dataset on time with platform milestones respecting due date
- resolve engine installation development reliability issues (PIR's, EW)
- provide support to Manufacturing with presence during the launch phases (development, pre-build, 4P)
- generate innovative ideas
- generate cost reduction ideas
- create and manage components libraries (share point)

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- A mechanical engineering degree is whished but not strictly required if compensated with long experience in this role.
- Creo 3.0 skill is required: she/he should be able to arrange preliminary feasibility study, create and manage 3D and 2D CAD models/drawings, able to design plastic components (fuel and ADBLue tanks, fan shroud, dust ejector, etc.),cooling components (cooling pipe, expansion tank), iron castings (compressor support, engine pulley, etc.), engine belts, sheet metal stiffeners, brackets, general, air hoses, air ducts.
- Experience with engine installation and related components (cooling package/FEAD, fuel systems, ATS, air intake system) is required.
- Experience and sensitivity with CFD analysis is desired
- TCAE (Team Center), DMU (Digital mock up), EC (Engineering Central or familiarity with others PDM) knowledge are required
- Good English level, both written and spoken, is required.
- Full clean Driving Licence
- Ability to travel around the territory, with some over-night stays

- Participates in cross-functional interactions through verbal and written correspondence in group and one/one settings
- Frequently provides recommendations to direct manager and/or other members of engineering management
