About us

Cristóbal Balenciaga founded the House in 1917 in his home of Spain. In 1937, he established the brand in Paris, designing its collections there until 1968. Cristóbal Balenciaga had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as "the master of us all" by Christian Dior and as “The Couturier of the Couturiers” by Gabrielle Chanel. The ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house.

While the brand’s identity is firmly rooted in its highly conceptual prêt-à-porter collections, its leather goods, footwear, and accessories experience worldwide success as well. Among the archetypal products of the House are its handbag collections. A new focus on the development of Balenciaga ready-to-wear collections for men was quickly established as highly successful.

Since October 2015, Demna Gvasalia has designed both men’s and women’s collections as the artistic director.

The Balenciaga House, part of the Kering group since 2001, is one of the most influential names in fashion.

**Job Description**:
We are currently seeking a Retail Intern who will report to the Retail Manager Italy & Spain as part of our Retail team in Milan.
- Your opportunity_

As a Retail Intern at Balenciaga, you will have the opportunity to work in an environment where change and ideas are valued. The Retail Intern is responsible for providing quality administrative and logístical support to the team, as well as acting as a conduit for communication between internal and external parties.
- How you will contribute_
- Managing the Daily and Weekly reports and share it to all the retail network
- Consolidating and sharing weekly and monthly performance reports
- Assist in the development, consolidation and communication on target setting
- Assist in the Retail travel online accounts and co-ordinate hotel and travel plans within budget for retail team as required for meetings, store conference and other ad-hoc retail events
- Manage all the Onboarding for the new joiners (insuring to plan meetings with all the support functions)
- Support the Marketing team with all the VIC Gifting process (selection of clients with stores, order gifts and personalized cards, plan the delivery of the gifts on time)
- Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of challenges within the retail network to boost store performances through key KPIs
- Partake in the development and maintenance of Store reports
- Collect and consolidate the Monthly orders for the stores
- Help in ensuring the communication and exchange of information between the stores and the various HQ departments according to current needs
- Who you are_

Ideally have a first experience in the world of Retail and a previous in store experience is a plus. We are also open to profiles from a wide range of backgrounds (marketing, ecommerce, sales )

Passionate about the world of fashion and retail, you have excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of communication, a taste for challenge and a culture of results.

Knowing how to anticipate, be reactive and force proposals are key skills for this position.

This position required a pronounced synthetic, analytic & data mindset and a technical and business vision of the activity.
