Junior School Receptionist

The International School of Florence seeks a temporary Receptionist for an **immediate start **at the Junior School campus.

The Receptionist is the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, staff and children. As the face of ISF the receptionist should be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner.

It is essential to be organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach to work. A high level of IT skill is also needed to assist admin daily with various clerical tasks.

Duties include:

- Serving visitors, families and students by greeting them, welcoming warmly, directing and announcing them appropriately.
- Organising covers for absent teachers
- Collecting the leave requests, checking leave days and presenting the request to the Principal for approval
- Guaranteeing a correct and kind manner over the phone.
- Inputting absence/late information daily and following up with parents
- Maintaining security by following procedures, in support of the guard.
- Maintaining a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contributing to team effort
- Ensuring constant update of the pupil manager software.
- Assisting teachers, Upper School Principal, Admissions Office and Communications Office on a daily basis.
- Applications close November 25. Contract start ASAP for approx. 1-2 months_

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma and relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Experience working with learners from diverse cultural/linguistic backgrounds
