**HSEQ SPECIALIST**
to be located in the Milan Office

Jacobs is looking for a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Specialist, to join our Italian team and support complex and exciting projects for a range of diverse client sectors, such as Industrial, Real Estate, Infrastructures, Energy, in Italy and abroad.

By joining Jacobs you’ll be able to develop and cover a key role, with the opportunity to support the development, implementation, and administration of safety, health, environmental protection and quality programs, with the following responsibilities:

- Reporting to the Operations Lead and working in collaboration with other HSEQ Professionals as well as Project Managers and project teams
- Actively supporting and contributing towards a positive safety culture and our Beyond Zero Program
- Assisting in the development, management, and auditing of various health and safety programs, including work across large and small projects, assisting in identifying hazards, verifying safeguards are not only present but also effective, recommending corrective actions and audit the completion of those actions
- Participating in incident investigations and assisting in completing the reports
- Ensuring employees, contractors and sub-contractors are complying to health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements, providing training and guidance where necessary
- Assisting in the preparation and review of H&S documentation, project execution plans, environmental plans and quality manuals and procedures
- Assisting project managers and procurement team in the contractor management process, including preparing documentation and reviewing pre-qualification submissions and materials
- Leading ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems, supporting periodic updates, reviews and external certification and maintenance audits
- Offering HSEQ expertise as part of client proposals and consultancy projects, as related to Due Diligence, Auditing, planning, management system support)

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- 5 to 8 years of HSEQ experience
- Good knowledge of main HSE regulation (D.Lgs.152/08 and D.Lgs.81/08) and sustainability principles
- Practical understanding of risks related to environmental remediation and construction activities in contaminated sites (chemical risk, excavation, lifting, others)
- Good knowledge of ISO:9001; ISO:14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Capability to work with and manage subcontractors (prequalification, review, auditing)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to develop and write procedures, reports, and presentations in a professional manner
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently
- Proficiency in English and Italian languages; other language knowledge could be an asset
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high-quality work products
- Mindset open to innovation, digitalization, visual communication
- Availability to travel
- First aid, firefighting, field officer (“preposto”), RSPP training preferred
